Birch Bark (Betula lenta) - organic OL

The lovely white trees are not only wise, but full of medicinal properties. One such constituent is salicylate, which has been shown to relieve inflammation and pain associated with osteoarthritis, gout, rheumatoid arthritis and just general muscle pain. Also has strong diuretic action and birch leaves and birch bark can be taken in teas, and infused in oil for pain relief. Use externally as a poultice for pain relief.

Historically, Birch Bark has been a highly sacred and magickal tree, often used for carving runes and casting spells associated with healing, feminine energy, and water magick.
